Faith in Every Season
July 1, 2026 André K. Dugger
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7 (CSB)
As we saw, Paul’s journey ultimately lead to Rome; a place of both opportunity and suffering. In one season, he lived under house arrest, preaching freely and writing letters filled with hope and encouragement. In another, he sat in a dark prison cell, awaiting execution.
Two vastly different circumstances; yet one consistent faith.
Paul’s words in 2 Timothy are not filled with regret or fear. They are filled with confidence. Not because his life was easy, but because his faith remained steady.
This is the kind of faith we are called to pursue.
It’s easy to trust God when life is going well. It’s harder when things feel uncertain, painful, or unfair. But true faith is not built on circumstances; it is anchored in Christ.
Paul didn’t measure success by comfort or outcomes. He measured it by faithfulness.
And at the end of his life, that’s what mattered most.
No matter what season you are in right now, whether it feels like freedom or confinement, joy or hardship, God is present. And your calling remains the same: to stay faithful.
One step at a time. One day at a time.
Reflection Question: What would it look like for you to remain faithful to God in your current season, regardless of circumstances?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to remain faithful in every season of life. When things are easy, keep me grounded. When things are difficult, keep me trusting. Strengthen my faith so that, like Paul, I may finish well and honor You in all I do. In Jesus name, Amen.
