Weekly Ministry at the Lois M DeBerry State Prison

Each week André has the blessing of sharing Christ with both inmates and prison personnel at the DeBerry Special Needs Facility. The ministry that takes place is meaningful and fruitful; many have given their lives to Christ recently.

André asks for continued prayers. He also asks that you would join in praising the Lord for several more men who have been saved, and several Corrections Officers who are opening up with prayer requests and are open to receiving spiritual guidance.

Weekly Discipleship and Spiritual Mentoring

One of André's passions is discipleship/mentoring/coaching people as they grow in the faith and become all that God wants them to be. He is blessed to meet weekly with several men to encourage them, disciple them, and offer spiritual mentorship in their lives.

New Hope Baptist Church in Bon Aqua, Tennessee Revival Service, September 16

Please pray for André as he preaches at New Hope Baptist Church's Wednesday night revival service! September 16 will be a long day for André, with the Interim and Pulpit Supply training occurring beforehand, so pray that God will give him the energy and endurance he needs to preach a strong, Gospel-centered sermon! Pray for the lost who will be in attendance, that God will save them. Pray for the Christians who will be in attendance as well, that God will encourage the saints.

New Duck River Baptist Association Annual Meeting, Keynote Message, September 28

Please pray for André as he preaches the sermon at the NDRBA Annual Meeting! Dr. Tim Key leads a strong association in southern middle TN. Pray for the churches that make up this association. The New Duck River Baptist Association includes 42 Southern Baptist Churches

located in Bedford, Marshall, Moore, and adjacent counties in Middle Tennessee.

Preaching at First Baptist Church of Alba, TX, October 11, 2026

André has a wonderful opportunity in October of this year to preach at a church that he pastored at for many years in the 1990's. He will be heading out to Alba, TX, to preach at FBC Alba. André and his family share many fond memories from their time in Alba, and maintain many strong friendships in that community and church. Pray for André and FBC as he returns to preach that Sunday!

Preaching at Holiday Heights Baptist Church, August 2

André and Sarah were glad to rejoin the church family at Holiday Heights Baptist Church. André preached a sermon from Genesis 50 titled "God is God, You Are Not." André reconnected with old friends and witnessed God's Word work in people's lives. It was exciting to see people responding to God’s Spirit. Some experienced the blessing of learning to forgive those who have hurt them.

A Day of Hope, Living Stones Baptist Church, July 26

July 26 was a phenomenal day as André preached a Day of Hope at Living Stones Baptist Church in Springfield, TN. Pastor Luis Martinez translated my message into Spanish, and we rejoiced as several people responded to God’s Holy Spirit. André's brother, Ronnie Barron, has been ministering at Living Stones for many years, and it was wonderful to be with him too.

Preaching at Holiday Heights Baptist Church, July 12

André and Sarah were excited to rejoin the church family at Holiday Heights Baptist Church as André preached a message from 2 Timothy on Finishing Well. After the service, one of the members engaged a 33 year old man named Dillon, who was on the church property and who was in some emotional distress and under spiritual conviction. He and André shared Christ with him and clearly explained the gospel. Dillon hasn't yet received God's grace and committed his life to Jesus, but please pray that he will.

A Night of Hope at Deberry State Prison, July 11

André had the privilege of preaching for the Night of Hope at DeBerry Prison as part of the ministry of his and Sarah's home church, FBC Joelton. God moved in a mighty way and a number of men committed their life to Jesus Christ.

Attended the SBC and SBC Pastors' Conference, June 2026

André was glad to attend the SBC and the Pastors' conference for the first time in 14 years this Summer. Thank you for praying for André and Sarah as they travelled to Orlando.

We are thankful that God has brought enough healing to André that he can make this trip!

A Weekend of Prayer & Hope at FBC Lewisburg, TN, May 29-31

André and Sarah had a fantastic weekend in Lewisburg, TN, for our Weekend of Prayer and Hope at First Baptist Church. It was obvious that the Holy Spirit was at work throughout the three days of studying God’s Word. Many people responded to God’s call on their lives to a deeper prayer life, including faithfully praying for those they know who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Many indicated they received encouragement as they were walking through difficulties in life.

Sarah and I were greatly blessed by the people of FBC. Please continue praying for this wonderful family of believers.

André had a wonderful time speaking at the JOY fellowship luncheon at FBC Joelton.

Preaching at Holiday Heights Baptist Church, May 10

André had the opportunity to fill in the pulpit at Holiday Heights Baptist Church again. Pray for God to continue His work at Holiday Heights.

Keynote Speaker at the Harvest Baptist Association Deacons' Conference, May 3

André had the honor of being the Keynote Speaker for the Harvest Baptist Association's deacons conference. He taught deacons how they "Hold the Key" to the ministry success of the pastors through their encouragement, support, service, and more. Pray for the deacons who came to be encouraged by the Word, and the churches they represent.

Preaching at Temple Baptist Church, Old Hickory, TN, May 3

 André preached at Temple Baptist on the morning of May 3 before going to the deacons' conference later that afternoon! Pray for the members of Temple Baptist, and for their pastor, Bro. Ken Coleman. Pray that they were strengthened by the Word of God and continue to be a light for Christ in their community.

A Day of Hope at Indian Lake Peninsula Church, Hendersonville, April 26

On April 26, 2026, André had the privilege of leading a Day of Hope. He spoke to the Youth during the Bible study hour and then preached at the morning worship service for the entire church family. In both services, people indicated they were committing their lives to Jesus Christ. The pastor and ministerial team are following up with all those who prayed to receive Christ. A number of people came forward to pray for those they know who are lost and hurting. The Holy Spirit was encouraging people as they placed their trust in the Lord, who brings triumph from tragedy.

Revival at Harvest Fields Baptist Church, April 23

 André was blessed with the opportunity to preach at Harvest Fields Baptist Church's revival weekend on Thursday. April 23rd! Please pray for those men and women who heard the Gospel and stayed for the revival weekend. It is a great joy to be around brothers and sisters in Christ who yearn for true revival. God is good!

Preaching at Holiday Heights Baptist Church, April 19

It was a joy to be back at Holiday Heights for André, as he got to baptize the father and son he led to Christ two weeks before on Easter Sunday! Baptism is a beautiful picture of the hope that we have in Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 6:4, "Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life." There is no more hope than the hope of eternal life with Christ Jesus, and baptism symbolizes that hope incredibly. Praise God for His work of salvation!

A Day of Hope at Holiday Heights Baptist Church, April 5

Thank you for praying for André as he preached a Day of Hope on Easter Sunday at Holiday Heights Baptist Church in Hendersonville. God moved in an amazing way, including saving two men - a father and a son. We celebrate God's incredible work of salvation on Easter Sunday in 2026, and look forward to more transformed lives throughout the rest of this year. Your prayers are vital to this Gospel work!

A Day of Hope at Grace Baptist Church, Tullahoma, Mar. 15

March 15, André was elated to join Grace Baptist in Tullahoma and lead them through a Day of Hope! God moved mightily in both services, and many responded to His Word.

The Lord moved wonderfully in both morning services. It was exciting to see people responding to God’s conviction. André was thankful for the opportunity to fill in for Pastor Tim Dalton who was sick.

A Day of Hope at New Hope Baptist Church, Bon Aqua Feb. 22

André led the Day of Hope at New Hope Baptist Church in Bon Aqua, TN on Feb. 22, and it was an incredible day as the Lord blessed powerfully in both services. It was a blessing to be with pastor Nathan Wilkerson and the wonderful people of New Hope.

A Day of Hope at Holiday Heights Baptist Church, Jan. 25

Due to the severe snow and ice across Middle TN, André was asked to move the Day of Hope to February 1st. Since he isn't able to be with this church family in person, he recorded a sermon for the church. Pray that this message is seen by many, and that God uses it to His glory!

André and Sarah loved being back with the Holiday Heights family this week. Between a stirring message on preparing for revival and the joy of welcoming a new member to their church family, it’s clear that God is moving among them!

Preaching at FBC Lewisburg, Dec. 7

André was blessed to share the gospel at First Baptist Church of Lewisburg, TN as he preached a message on the hope found in Christ from Ephesians 1:3-14. God's people were both encouraged and challenged.

Leading a Bible Study at FBC Joelton, Nov. 30

André was thrilled to teach a Bible Study at FBC Joelton from the Gospel according to Luke to an adult class. The encouraging study reminded everyone of the need to share Christ with those we encounter.

André had the privilege to preach at Agape Church in Greenbrier, TN. God moved in a powerful way as believers were encouraged and taught how to share their faith with others through a message from Luke 19:1-10.

We are thankful that God provided an opportunity for André to preach in Hendersonville, TN, Sunday, October 19, 2025. The Holy Spirit moved in a wonderful way.

Connecting with a Ministry Partner, Oct. 19

André was overjoyed to reconnect with Robby Gray, whom he led to the Lord and baptized in 2001. Robby now lives in Thailand where he and his wife are actively sharing the hope of Jesus with all those around them. The key is to make disciples who make disciples.

Ten Saved from Greenbrier High School, Aug. 28

André was blessed with the opportunity to preach to members of the Greenbrier High School Football Team on Thursday, August 28. His message was from Matthew 23:27-28 entitled: "It's What's Inside That Counts." By God's Grace, ten young men received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior."

André wasn't expecting to preach at FBC Lewisburg on July, 13, but by God's grace that is exactly what he did! God opened the door and André preached a moving message from Joshua 4:1-5:1 entitled: "Don't Forget to Remember."
